A TRAIL CELEBRATION
Join friends and neighbors Thursday, November 19th at the Friends' Annual Meeting to celebrate the completed sections of the LVRT. Fine Food (cash bar), Entertainment and Information on trail progress.
To inform and entertain you with developments along the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail (LVRT), The Friends of the LVRT will host an informative and fun Annual Meeting on Thursday, November 19, 2015 downstairs at the Charlmont Restaurant in Morrisville beginning at 5:30pm and open to all. Substantial and tasty hors d’oeuvres will be served along with a cash bar. Reservations should be made by contacting Donna Higgons at 888-0322 or email@example.com.
“We are excited to announce that Emily Boedecker , Executive Director of Local Motion will share her amusing and informative trail experiences with the audience,” said Donna Higgons, president of Friends LVRT. “In addition, Kevin Russell just completed his second walk of the entire trail (96 miles!) and will bopen the meeting with slides of his experience and, as if that’s not enough entertainment, Jim bFredericks, trail rider extraordinaire and former president of the Catamount Trail Association will add an international flavor to the program by showing what it’s like to ride in Croatia, reported Ms. Higgons” “Completed from St. Johnsbury to West Danville and soon to be completed from Morrisville to Jeffersonville, the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail (LVRT) promises to be an exciting addition to the recreation, health, and economic benefits of the counties along the trail and, in fact, for the entire northern tier of Vermont,” said Cindy Locke, Executive Director of the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers (VAST).
“Already communities along the trail are experiencing an influx of visitors and locals alike who walk, bike, ride horseback, exercise dogs, kids and push strollers along the open sections of the trail. Soon they’ll be snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and dog mushing through a winter The Friends LVRT want to help these communities reap the benefits of the trail and will be sharing progress and ideas at Thursday’s meeting as will Cindy Locke, Executive Director of VAST, the organization responsible for the construction of the trail.
